Pete Mastin in 'The Fall of the Louse of Usher'
Pete Mastin
The Fall of the Louse of Usher (2002) [Ernest Valdemar]: Dies of unspecified natural causes, but is trapped in a state between life and death due to being placed in a hypnotic trance by Ken Russell. Ken attempts to revive him with makeshift defibrillator paddles (made from clothes irons), but is chased away before he can remove the paddles from Pete's chest. His charred skeletal remains are shown later on when the scene cuts back to Pete's room. (The whole story turns out to be Ken's delusion, after it's revealed that Ken is a patient and not a doctor at the asylum.)
