The Blue Lagoon (1949) [Paddy Button]: Presumably dies of natural causes some time after being stranded on the island with Susan Stranks and Peter Jones. (I haven't seen this version, but I have seen Leo McKern's death in the 1980 version.)
Moby Dick (1956) [Ship's Carpenter]: Presumably killed when the ship is sunk in the final confrontation with the whale. (I haven't seen this version, but I know that "Ishmael" (Richard Basehart) is the sole survivor.)
Shake Hands with the Devil (1959) [Liam O'Sullivan]: Shot to death in a shoot-out with English soldiers after they find him hiding in a trunk; we only see the soldiers firing. |
