Ernest Thesiger (1879 - 1961)
Bride of Frankenstein (1935) [Dr. Pretorius]: Killed in an explosion (along with Elsa Lanchester) when Boris Karloff pulls a lever that blows up the laboratory and brings the entire castle crumbling down. (The 1939 sequel Son of Frankenstein revealed that Boris survived the explosion, but Elsa and Ernest were killed.)

The Horse's Mouth (1958) [Hickson]: Dies (off-screen) of old age/natural causes; we learn of his death afterwards when Kay Walsh informs Alec Guinness.
